Three Kings
Amsterdam
The De Drie Koningen building is a fine example of the Amsterdamse School, an expressionist architectural movement that emerged from Amsterdam in the 1910s and 20s, leaving behind some of the city’s most characterful and idiosyncratic buildings. This apartment sits at its heart.

Located on the oldest and one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam’s canal belt, this lofty apartment was designed for an expat who had to relocate to Amsterdam for work. Only a stone’s throw away from the Royal Palace on Dam Square, a contemporary regal elegance was aspired towards.
Having moved to Amsterdam for a position in finance, the client had a dream creating a home on the canals, bespoke to him, but with very little time to think about it. He turned to us for a turn-key handling of the design and project management, delivering a project that he and his family were ecstatic about.
Deep calming dark tones are combined with neutrals, travertine and walnut, creating a warm backdrop to the spaces.
